DON'T GIVE UP Today seemed like a bleakly day. A day filled with  sorrow and gloom. It seemed hopeless.  Even though I knew it had nothing to do  with the day but how I felt, I had a very difficult time seeing and relating to anything beyond what my natural eyes could see. Though I believe in God and know there is more to my life than what I am currently  experiencing, there was nothing in me to come to any different conclusion.  I was lost. If the enemy can get us to lose sight of the future and hope God has prepared for us, he will destroy us body and soul.  That is why in  1 Peter 1:13  the apostle encourages us to gird up the loins of our mind. In  Romans 12:2 , Paul tells us to be transformed by the renewing the mind. A part of the armor of God is the helmet of Salvation ( Ephesians 6:17 ). PRESS, PUSH, PURSUE Dear Friends,  Have you ever felt like Hannah who was so consumed with the grief of wanting a  child she  risked being accused a drunk in the presence of the Lord because she wanted His attention,   (1 Samuel: 8-18 ). Or like Gideon who, challenged God by putting a fleece on the ground and  ask “God if it is really You speaking to me prove it, (Judges 6:36-40). I am sure we all have our  moments of grief and doubts, but did we learn how to get God’s attention like Jacob, who refused  to let go until God blessed him, (Genesis 32: 22-32). From time to time we go through different  seasons of life and most often than others we don’t know how to make that transition from one  season to the next. WE SERVE AN AWESOME GOD Scripture Reading Isaiah 48:13  This is so powerful because as I think about those of us who have children and sometimes when we call them they choose not to hear us calling, yet God in all His splendor can call His creation and they come together. Just take a moment and try to picture all the elements of heaven and earth coming together when God speaks. It brings me back to the beginning in Genesis when God said "Let there be..... and there was...." We serve an Awesome God!!!!!!!!

RECLAIMING OUR COMMUNITY When we think about the condition of our communities we are not just fighting against guns and gang violence, but against spiritual wickedness in high places. THE VIOLENT TAKE IT BY FORCE Scripture Reading Matthew 11:12 In order for us to step into our destiny and achieve the greatness that God has instore for us we need to know how to push back against the violence that is coming against us.  We need to push back with the same amount of force that is pushing against us. Whatever the violence maybe God has given us the power through His Son Jesus Christ to overcome.  Through Christ we are victorious.  So whether the violence coming against you is depression, stress, money or the lack there of, relationships, parents, family, friends, work; you have the power to fight back.
