Exploring God’s Love: Loving God His Way

The way we love God sometimes is not the way He requires us to love Him!  Loving God requires us to know His love language. Today we begin to explore loving God His way.

If you love me, keep my commands." - Yeshua (Jesus). John14:15

God’s love language!

God’s commandments are His love language.

 Read Exodus 20:1-17

God' Commands are two categories:

    • Our relationship with Him. Exodus 20:2-11
    • Our relationship with each other. Exodus 20:12-17

Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

Exodus 20:8-11

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; on it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male slave or your female slave, or your cattle, or your resident who stays with you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; for that reason the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.”

The First Commandment with a Promise.

Exodus 20:12

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

Important lessons to learn:

    • God has given us a specific day of worship
    • The way we treat each other is a reflection of our relationship with GodJohn 13:35

“By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another.”John 13:35

The depth of God's love is infinite, but if we learn His ways we can learn to love Him the way He desires.

Love & Blessing!

Meditate on Words that Bring Life.

H ow you think about life results in the quality of life you live. Your thoughts are important, so meditate on words that bring life. In spite of all the obstacles I have faced in my life, one of the things that have kept me going are these words the Lord spoke to me when I was much younger “you have creative power within you, and everything you touch will prosper.” These words have been my guide in my ups and downs. I held on to these words as truth and life. I believe everything God has spoken to me and I know His words will never return void. I choose to meditate on words which bring life.  As a Christian I choose to meditate on the words of God. I also listen to godly-men and woman who are leading successful lives based on biblical principles. I read books and listen to audio messages which fosters positive encouragements and personal developments. I also write my own affirmations and speak positive things over myself at times. Most times than o...

Legacy

Jeremiah 29:10-13 10 For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.  11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Most people in life can trace their family line as far back as four generations. Yet some of us don’t know our biological parents much more to know our grand-parents. Ever since I was a child I always heard my mom and her sisters talked about their parents as if it was some kind of mysterious fairy-tale.  Though my mother and her three siblings are of the same mother and father, it is a mystery to me how two of them ended up with different last n...

The Next Step

Most times God uses the least expected person to set His plan in motion for your life. Sometimes we get so caught up in our expectation of others that we missed what God is trying to do. You know what I'm talking about, we get angry when the person we expect to show up for us but don't. We get angry when a family member or friend who has the “key” to the door we want to get in still they refuse to open the door.  We develop an entitlement complex. Because we believe that they should give us what we want when we want it, and how you want it; without considering whether or not God desires for them to be a part of His plan for us. God does not share His glory with anyone. Therefore, He will not allow anyone to assist you who will try to take His glory; nor will He allow you to see anyone else as God in your life.  He alone is God. When He open doors, God wants you and me to recognize that it could only be Him.  Don't allow your frustration with people t...
