Sticks and Stones Part 2- Identifying Generational Curses

Have you ever evaluated your life and made note of all that God has gifted you with; talents and abilities that are natural to you but a struggle to others yet you can't seem to make a head way in life. Could it be that you are living under a curse, more specifically a generational curse.  A curse that has been following your bloodline for generations. I'm not saying all out life's struggles are a result of a generational curse or any other curse but there are specific struggles in our lives that are directly linked to generational curses.

These struggles cannot be overcome unless we can identify their root and deal with them accordingly. There are actions that were taken by our fore parents or parents which opened a door for the enemy to take a foot hold. You have to identify the destructive pattern or cycle that has been familiar to your family line.

As I evaluate my life I have identified a few things that have been plaguing my family. I have identified a pattern of abandonment, poverty, resentment, bitterness and witchcraft (control and manipulation). I have been searching and seeking for answers from the Lord as to what has been happening within my family and He began to reveal these things through our family history.

With God's help through prayer and fasting we can break the cycle of generational curses. You need to develop and maintain a conscious decision to speak and demonstrate the word of God over your life. Today I want to encourage you to seek God and allow Him to reveal to you the areas of your life that are being affected by general curses and how to deal with them.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I thank You for Your precious Son Jesus Christ. Lord thank You for Your saving grace and redeeming blood. Lord today I acknowledge that my life has been plagued by word curses and generational curses. In the name of Jesus I renounce every curse from my bloodline. I break every stronghold of the enemy right now. I declare I am no longer living under a curse because I have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Lord show me all areas of my life that are open to the enemy that I can seek Your guidance in closing them.
In Jesus' name
Amen.

Meditate on Words that Bring Life.

H ow you think about life results in the quality of life you live. Your thoughts are important, so meditate on words that bring life. In spite of all the obstacles I have faced in my life, one of the things that have kept me going are these words the Lord spoke to me when I was much younger “you have creative power within you, and everything you touch will prosper.” These words have been my guide in my ups and downs. I held on to these words as truth and life. I believe everything God has spoken to me and I know His words will never return void. I choose to meditate on words which bring life.  As a Christian I choose to meditate on the words of God. I also listen to godly-men and woman who are leading successful lives based on biblical principles. I read books and listen to audio messages which fosters positive encouragements and personal developments. I also write my own affirmations and speak positive things over myself at times. Most times than o...

DON'T WAKE THE BEAST!

My mom had a way of conveying here wisdom in such a way that would make you laugh and think at the same time.  When things weren't going well or she heard of a problem between two people she would often say; "When you find your head in a lion's mouth take your time and draw it out." What she meant was that a lion is a fierce beast, but when he is sleeping he is harmless as a dove. If you are having problem with someone don't get angry and stir anger in the person because you might not be able to escape the fierceness of his or her wrath. Next time you find yourself in a dispute with someone and feel the need to get angry, remember not to wake the beast. It is best to keep calm and walk away than to wake the lion within the person and get devoured.  Proverbs 15:1 - A soft answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger.

More Than Conquerors

Dear Friends,            It has been six long months since the last issue of  the Newsletter . I must say it has been a trying time, nevertheless, I will press on  in spite of the obstacles I am facing. Embracing your destiny is never an easy task. There are all kinds of obstacles that we must overcome; fear, doubt, self, people and devices of the enemy. One question we must ask ourselves, "What will it cost me if I don't embrace my destiny?” Too many times we     focus on how difficult it is and not the price we will pay if we don't. We must keep in mind that our destiny is not only for us but those who it will impact. Every day we fail to move one step closer to our destiny, that individual who we are to help spends another day in whatever circumstance he or she is in.   It is imperative for us to know in whom we believe if we are going to fulfill our destiny. We must know that nothing can...
