You Are Called

You are called for a purpose! Surely it is nothing new to you! It is something you have heard for the um-teen time. So why am I wasting my time telling you this? Simply because I want you to not just know it but believe it until you see the full manifestation of your purpose. As the apostle Paul said in his letter to the Philippians "...for me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe." Philippians 3:1.

So bear with me a moment as I take the time to exhort you once more that you are called for a purpose. Because you are called for a purpose everything will work out for you. But in order for you to fulfill that purpose you must remain connected.

The Bible declares that God has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).  He has called you. He wants you to no longer live in darkness, Romans 12:2 declare that you are not to conform to the ways of the world but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. You are called for a purpose; however, a mind set in the ways of the world cannot accomplish the things of God.

He called you, so you must know what He is saying about the calling He has placed on your life. The only way to know what He has called you to is to stay connected to Him. Stay connected to the source of your purpose in Whom all things lie and you will manifest the impossible in your life. You are called for a purpose!

Jeremiah 29:10-13 10 For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.  11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Most people in life can trace their family line as far back as four generations. Yet some of us don’t know our biological parents much more to know our grand-parents. Ever since I was a child I always heard my mom and her sisters talked about their parents as if it was some kind of mysterious fairy-tale.  Though my mother and her three siblings are of the same mother and father, it is a mystery to me how two of them ended up with different last n...

Recognizing a Need for Change

So, you woke up this morning as you have every other morning (by the grace of God) and as you head to the bathroom you glimpse yourself in the dresser mirror, but had to take a step back for another look because you didn’t recognize the person in the mirror. With a daunting look on your face and tears in your eyes, it dawns on you; something has to change. You say to yourself “I can’t keep living my life this way.”  If you are ready for change or a brand-new start on life but don’t know how? I am giving you three simple steps to take towards the road of change. Let me encourage you today, you are already on your way to making changes. Yes, that’s right; your initial step towards change is identifying a need for change. When you made that conscious decision to examine your current situation and recognize that things can be different, change has begun. Change the way you think. The first step in bringing change to one’s life is to change the way you think of yourself a...

Carried Away

Many of us are being carried away with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting and being tossed to and fro because of spiritual malnutrition. It is evident in our society as we see the rise of prosperity gospel and the infiltration of new age practices in our churches. Believers are being led astray because those who are called to lead are not executing the plan of God for the church or ministry in which they are called to serve. Leaders are more concerned about their agendas and programs rather than the purpose of God. The word of God has set forth the ministry of the church and the purpose of its leaders. In Ephesians chapter 4:7-16,  the Apostle Paul gives us a clear picture of the governing body (earthly) of the body Christ and its function; yet there are churches today who are operating without the order of government as established in Scriptures. This governing body: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers ...
