IF GOD BE FOR ME WHO CAN BE AGAINST ME

Scripture Reading
The Book of Ruth

Ruth was a stranger in a foreign land, she knew no one except her mother in law.  The God of heaven, creator of heaven and earth was new to her. Yet she believed that whatever she would face in Judah is far better than what Moab had to offer her.   Moab is her home country; she knew nothing else, yet she fund in Naomi a belief in a God that she could trust more than any gods that was in Moab.  Although Ruth did not know where she was going and what would happen to her she went hoping for the best.  Ruth allowed her faith to take her from the unknown to destiny.  She put aside all that she believed in, all that she was expecting out of life; she used the opportunity to start a new life and ran with God.  She did not think twice of letting go of the past, in order to embrace the future.

Tonight Lord I ask you to give me the faith like Ruth, who pressed through every obstacle that was in her way to embrace her destiny.  I wonder what would happen if we just let go and trust God the way Ruth did.  She was an ordinary woman who was in extreme circumstances; a woman who had every right to give up on life, but instead of giving up she trusted that God would make a way for her.

Whatever the circumstance you cannot give up, you must press beyond the pain, press beyond the shame, the guilt, press beyond hopelessness, press beyond your expectations of life and hold on to the truth of God's words and embrace destiny.  There is only one way to survive in tough times, it’s to press beyond your pain.  In spite of all you face, your hopes and dreams that are yet to be realized you must press past your pain.  Engulf yourself with the presence of God; crave His presence more than anything else. Sing to the Lord at all times, let His praises continually be on your lips and meditate on His word in your heart.   The word of God is your weapon, and praise is your defence.  Nothing can overcome you when you are wrapped up and entangled in the presence of the Lord.  Seek the Lord while he may be found don't wait until there is a crisis in your life to praise Him.  Praise Him when you are happy, praise Him in the morning, praise Him during the day, praise Him during the night continue to praise the Lord and don't worry about anything. If you continue to praise the Lord you would be surprise to see how far the Lord takes you in little time.  God is in control.

Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him at all times. Don't give up!

Jeremiah 29:10-13 10 For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.  11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Most people in life can trace their family line as far back as four generations. Yet some of us don’t know our biological parents much more to know our grand-parents. Ever since I was a child I always heard my mom and her sisters talked about their parents as if it was some kind of mysterious fairy-tale.  Though my mother and her three siblings are of the same mother and father, it is a mystery to me how two of them ended up with different last n...

Recognizing a Need for Change

So, you woke up this morning as you have every other morning (by the grace of God) and as you head to the bathroom you glimpse yourself in the dresser mirror, but had to take a step back for another look because you didn’t recognize the person in the mirror. With a daunting look on your face and tears in your eyes, it dawns on you; something has to change. You say to yourself “I can’t keep living my life this way.”  If you are ready for change or a brand-new start on life but don’t know how? I am giving you three simple steps to take towards the road of change. Let me encourage you today, you are already on your way to making changes. Yes, that’s right; your initial step towards change is identifying a need for change. When you made that conscious decision to examine your current situation and recognize that things can be different, change has begun. Change the way you think. The first step in bringing change to one’s life is to change the way you think of yourself a...

Carried Away

Many of us are being carried away with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting and being tossed to and fro because of spiritual malnutrition. It is evident in our society as we see the rise of prosperity gospel and the infiltration of new age practices in our churches. Believers are being led astray because those who are called to lead are not executing the plan of God for the church or ministry in which they are called to serve. Leaders are more concerned about their agendas and programs rather than the purpose of God. The word of God has set forth the ministry of the church and the purpose of its leaders. In Ephesians chapter 4:7-16,  the Apostle Paul gives us a clear picture of the governing body (earthly) of the body Christ and its function; yet there are churches today who are operating without the order of government as established in Scriptures. This governing body: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers ...
