More Than Conquerors

Dear Friends,
It has been six long months since the last issue of  the Newsletter . I must say it has been a trying time, nevertheless, I will press on  in spite of the obstacles I am facing. Embracing your destiny is never an easy task. There are all kinds of obstacles that we must overcome; fear, doubt, self, people and devices of the enemy. One question we must ask ourselves, "What will it cost me if I don't embrace my destiny?” Too many times we     focus on how difficult it is and not the price we will pay if we don't. We must keep in mind that our destiny is not only for us but those who it will impact. Every day we fail to move one step closer to our destiny, that individual who we are to help spends another day in whatever circumstance he or she is in.
It is imperative for us to know in whom we believe if we are going to fulfill our destiny. We must know that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Romans 8: 35 - 37
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

This months issue is a little different I will share with you some of the nuggets of wisdom from my book “Embracing Destiny.”  My prayer is that you are empowered and encouraged as you read to embrace your destiny.

Do you remember how as a child you believe you could become anything you wanted to be, but as you grew older things happened that caused your belief about yourself to change. People’s words, actions, life’s struggles, failures, bad experiences all helped to taint, reshape, distort, and to some extent destroy the belief that you can become anything you want to be in life. It is all a part of the enemy's plan to destroy us, but God’s plan and purpose for us it to live an abundant life. Jesus declares in John chapter 10 verse 10;  The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.Let us put the devil to shame and embrace our destiny knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God. So are you ready to dream again?

Nuggets of Wisdom to Embrace Your Destiny:
¨ The only thing that is required of us is to use our child like faith to believe that as we live our life in Jesus Christ we will reach our dream, “for with God nothing is impossible,” Luke 1:37.

¨ Submitting to the will of God for our lives is never an easy task, nonetheless there are things we must let die in order for God to be glorified in us and through us. 1 John 2:15-17

¨ Life is too precious not to live it according to your God given potential. Psalm 16:11

¨ It's never too late to embrace your destiny. Joshua 1:8

¨ Knowing your purpose will help you to embrace your destiny. Jeremiah 29:11

¨ In order for us to embrace our destiny we must spend time to listening for God to speak to us.   Deuteronomy 32:1

¨ On the road to embrace your destiny know that Jesus is the only one that will walk with you in every situation that arises. Psalm 27: 10

¨ You can't live an ordinary life if you want to embrace your destiny, you must press beyond what is expected to greater things. Philippians 3: 12-15

¨ When we take wrong counsel from those without understanding and act upon it we make matters worse for our self and those around us. Seek Godly wisdom. 2 Samuel 10

¨ God has given us the Holy Spirit as our guide, who knows all things pertaining to our destiny. It is up to us to develop a relationship with Him and listen to all He has to say. John 14: 25-27

¨ It is the enemy's job to do all that he can to stop you from discovering the plan and the purpose God      has for your life; it is your responsibility to use every weapon God has given you to withstand the          enemy and embrace your destiny. Ephesians 6: 10 –18

¨ Three phases of spiritual growth to embrace your destiny: separation, building a fresh foundation, and transformation. Romans 12:2

¨ If you are going to embrace your destiny and become the person God created you to be, you must learn to keep a good and positive attitude in every situation. James 1:2-4

¨ To embrace your destiny don't quit, stay focus; ask, seek, and knock until the right door is opened, until you achieve success. Luke 11:9

¨ In order to embrace your destiny, you must know who you are. If you don't know who you are, you will want to become or imitate others. 1 Peter 2:9

¨ Waiting on God is positioning yourself in the right place for your moment to come. It is important not to give up or to move from your position to the next place until God shows up, because if you do, you will miss your moment loose God's favor and His promise.  Luke 19:1-9

¨ For transformation to take place there has to be a process of isolation, where God takes you all to Himself in order to prune and purge everything that is not of Him. John 15:1-3

¨ So many of us feel as if we are lost in the shadows of everyday life; we are tired and worn out by life’s routine, scarcely having the strength to persist. Life’s struggles cover us like the sun hidden behind a pillow of cloud; waiting for the moment the earth takes its turn for the clouds to roll away. God’s timing is already set in motion, if we can remember that as the earth rotates and the clouds shift so the Lord will cause a shift in our lives. Persevere and allow God in His perfect timing to turn your life around.      Psalm 121

¨ Don’t ever forget that with God all things are possible. Luke 1:37

Jeremiah 29:10-13 10 For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.  11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Most people in life can trace their family line as far back as four generations. Yet some of us don’t know our biological parents much more to know our grand-parents. Ever since I was a child I always heard my mom and her sisters talked about their parents as if it was some kind of mysterious fairy-tale.  Though my mother and her three siblings are of the same mother and father, it is a mystery to me how two of them ended up with different last n...

Recognizing a Need for Change

So, you woke up this morning as you have every other morning (by the grace of God) and as you head to the bathroom you glimpse yourself in the dresser mirror, but had to take a step back for another look because you didn’t recognize the person in the mirror. With a daunting look on your face and tears in your eyes, it dawns on you; something has to change. You say to yourself “I can’t keep living my life this way.”  If you are ready for change or a brand-new start on life but don’t know how? I am giving you three simple steps to take towards the road of change. Let me encourage you today, you are already on your way to making changes. Yes, that’s right; your initial step towards change is identifying a need for change. When you made that conscious decision to examine your current situation and recognize that things can be different, change has begun. Change the way you think. The first step in bringing change to one’s life is to change the way you think of yourself a...

Carried Away

Many of us are being carried away with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting and being tossed to and fro because of spiritual malnutrition. It is evident in our society as we see the rise of prosperity gospel and the infiltration of new age practices in our churches. Believers are being led astray because those who are called to lead are not executing the plan of God for the church or ministry in which they are called to serve. Leaders are more concerned about their agendas and programs rather than the purpose of God. The word of God has set forth the ministry of the church and the purpose of its leaders. In Ephesians chapter 4:7-16,  the Apostle Paul gives us a clear picture of the governing body (earthly) of the body Christ and its function; yet there are churches today who are operating without the order of government as established in Scriptures. This governing body: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers ...
