Sticks and Stones Part 2- Identifying Generational Curses

Have you ever evaluated your life and made note of all that God has gifted you with; talents and abilities that are natural to you but a struggle to others yet you can't seem to make a head way in life. Could it be that you are living under a curse, more specifically a generational curse.  A curse that has been following your bloodline for generations. I'm not saying all out life's struggles are a result of a generational curse or any other curse but there are specific struggles in our lives that are directly linked to generational curses.  These struggles cannot be overcome unless we can identify their root and deal with them accordingly. There are actions that were taken by our fore parents or parents which opened a door for the enemy to take a foot hold. You have to identify the destructive pattern or cycle that has been familiar to your family line. As I evaluate my life I have identified a few things that have been plaguing my family. I have identified a patte...

Sticks and Stones - Part 1

Sticks and Stones - Breaking the Cycle of  Word Curses and Generational Curses. Growing up I was taught "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me." Some of you can relate. As I became an adult I realize that such declaration was a lie from the pit of hell. I have never broken a bone but I have been hit with sticks, stones and even suffered some sporting injuries; when I look at, touch or remember the time when I got the scars from the incidents and accidents I don't cringe or feel any pain. On the other hand when I remember what someone said to me which hurt me, if I haven't forgiven the person or haven't been healed of the hurt I would experience the same emotion(s) at that moment as I did when it just happened.  So I know for a fact that words do hurt whether we intend for them to hurt or not.   The Bible states in Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." The words we speak brings life or death. When we...

Love Conquers All

Matthew 22:36-39 36  “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37  Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38  This is the first and great commandment. 39  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ When asked, Jesus said the greatest commandment is to the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. He also said the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself? In simplest terms love conquers all! When you love there is no room for; hate, envy, jealousy, anger, covetousness,   bitterness, fear, lies, cheating, malice, murder, contentions, strife, etc. All these are the root of immorality. In John chapter 14: 15 Jesus also stated “if you love me keep my commandments.” Life is full of challenges and we sometimes find it difficult to love and trust God, much more to love others. ...

Creating New Wineskins

Dear Friends,            Have you ever wondered why your experiences feel as though you are been pressed hard on every side? As though every situation is squeezing the very life out of you? Today we can learn a very important lesson from the process of renewing old wineskins. The Bible tells us that when we   receive Christ old things are passed away and all things are become new,     2 Corinthians 5:17. Now how are things to become new? Becoming new is a process. It is a process we must endure in order for the glory of God to be seen through us. Scripture References:    Matthew 9:16-17 ; Luke 5:36-38 In Matthew 9:16-17 Jesus said : No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. 17  Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins...
