Forthrightly, if you are serious about what you do and want to improve your skill set and knowledge base it can be accomplished at little or no cost to you if you are willing to invest the time. In knowing your craft, it is also equally important to “do you.” In the pursuit of development, it is vital not to try and imitate or remodel the personality of someone else. Remain authentic to who you are! Remember the goal is to develop you, not to remake yourself into a cheap copy of another person. Although you want to speak the language as fluently as others, you don’t want to lose your accent. Your accent is what makes you unique. As a Jamaican, people easily identify me by accent no matter to which country I travel. Use your “accent” (your uniqueness) to your advantage. The principle thing, here just be you!

In developing oneself you must also Know the current trends, remain accurate and relevant. No need to go about selling sunglasses during a rain storm. Don’t try to use a line to catch a barracuda when using wire is more effective. Hence, the need for personal development. It is essential to keep in the know.
