Carried Away

Many of us are being carried away with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting and being tossed to and fro because of spiritual malnutrition. It is evident in our society as we see the rise of prosperity gospel and the infiltration of new age practices in our churches. Believers are being led astray because those who are called to lead are not executing the plan of God for the church or ministry in which they are called to serve. Leaders are more concerned about their agendas and programs rather than the purpose of God. The word of God has set forth the ministry of the church and the purpose of its leaders. In Ephesians chapter 4:7-16,  the Apostle Paul gives us a clear picture of the governing body (earthly) of the body Christ and its function; yet there are churches today who are operating without the order of government as established in Scriptures. This governing body: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers ...

Weighing in the Balance

When the fear of God is not in the heart of the people, they will call evil good. In Exodus chapter one, Pharaoh commanded the Egyptian midwives when the Isralite women give birth kill every male child, and if it is female save it alive, but the midwives feared God and did not do as the king commanded them. (Exodus 1:15-17). The times might have changed but the same evil is prevailing. Every day we hear through media, from Christian's and non-christians alike bashing and calling President Trump evil because he does not line up with their ideal of an American President. Yet, this man is one of the few in authority who has the fear of God in him to know that it is ungodly to have the life of new born babies weighing in the balance. We can no longer allow our preferences to blind us from standing up for truth according to God's word. We are in a battle for life, both physical and spiritual. When Pharaoh gave the command to kill the male child being born, it was out of fear...

The Appointed Time

Do you know your appointed time? Everything has a set time, there is an appointed time for God's purpose and plan to be established and manifested in your life. Jesus spoke often in the temple and publicly; and although on many occasions the religious people wanted to kill Him they couldn't because it wasn't yet His appointed time. God has ordained your life before the foundations of the world and no matter what you are going through, know that there is a set time for your breakthrough. There is a set time for your miracle, there is a set time for your healing, there is a set time for your deliverance. BUT, if you want to see your set time one thing is required. The word of God declares in 2 Corinthians 6:2: For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Now is the time to receive the gift of God's love towards us, salvation through Jes...

The Ugly Puss

I have had many experiences on my journey of life as a child and today I want to share with you the story of the ugly puss. I was only 10 years old and very proud of myself; I won the prize for knowing the most Bible verse in Sunday school for the year. It was Convention Sunday and the Sunday school president called me to come and collect my prize. I remember there were three gift boxes on the table nicely wrapped in beautiful gift paper. Because I won the first prize I was given the opportunity to choose whichever box I wanted. I thought to myself, let me not think too highly of myself and not take the biggest box. So I grabbed the smallest box. As I picked up the box I recall the pastor saying “you are a smart girl, good things come in small packages.” I was extremely excited when he said that because I knew it had to be something good.   I took my prize and went to my seat. I could hardly wait to run home to open the box. After church I rushed home, but as eager as I ...

You Are Still Valuable

Have you ever felt like you are an outcast, or wonder what the hell is going on with you? Have your friends ever looked at you and tell you “you got issues.” If either of the above rings close to home then you are in great company. Let me help you out, we all got issues. Yes, all of us struggle with something that qualifies as “issues.” Whether rich or poor, we all have issues. So, go ahead take a deep breath and relax, because in spite of all your issues you are still valuable in the eyes of God. You might ask how can a messed-up person like me be valuable? Simple, it is not what you do or don’t qualifies you, but the mere fact that you were created in the image and likeness of God. David, one of the most messed up man ever to live God said of him; he is a man after my own heart. David an anointed man of God and king, was a murderer, fornicator and a hothead. God declared that the sword would never depart from his house because of his murderous acts. His life was so f...

Letting Go To Dream Again

Hurt and offense can cause you to miss out on the things that God has in store for you. They can cause you to miss opportunities in life for growth. A hurting and offended heart closes down and shut out everything and everyone as a safety mechanism. It shuts others out to protect itself from more hurt, yet at the same time isolates the person. Sometimes resulting in separation from God. Though it is imperative for one to guard his/her heart you must be careful not to shut out those around you who were designed to help you on your life’s journey. Bear in mind that there are some people who can only go thus far with you. In other words, some people are in your life for a season. You must know what role they play and not carry them into the next season of your life.  Taking people further than they need to go with you can result in you or the individual becoming frustrated, angry, and resentful. If someone is out of place in your life, it will cause more harm than good. Le...

I am giving you three simple steps to take towards the road of change. Let me encourage you today, you are already on your way to making changes. Yes, that’s right; your initial step towards change is identifying a need for change. The first step in bringing change to one’s life is to change the way you think of yourself a...
